There are tons of womens leather motorcycle riding boots
to choose from but getting the right one depends on if you are
using the boot for real road protection or not.
If you want a pair of womens leather motorcycle riding boots,
I’m going to assume you really need them for riding and
not entirely to make a fashion statement. Just like with leather
pants or jackets, there are some designed for protecting your
body if it meets the pavement and some for wearing strictly as
fashion. Next to your helmet a good motorcycle-riding boot is
essential. I’ve had friends go down on the road and later
tell me how important their boots were. People that wear tennis
shoes or light fashion boots are asking for trouble.
Good solid women’s motorcycle boots come from companies
like Frye, Double-H, Durnago and Chippewa to name a few. Styles
of good riding boots include women’s engineer, harness,
loggers, conductors and some hiking boot styled boots. Harley
Davidson has some good boots as well but they tend to be trendier.
If you want fashion, go with Harley. Just be careful with them
if you need protection. An example of a boot by HD that you could
wear safely for riding would be the Faded Glory steel toe boot
or the ladies 10” Wayword mid boot. And example of a boot
that should not be on a motorcycle except at fashion shoots would
be the Harley Davidson Nastasha.
I do recommend that you get a steel-toed boot if you can find
one in a style you like. It just gives you a bit more piece of
mind and is assured to keep you toes safe in case say, your 1,000-pound
bike falls on them. I have steel-toed boots and I have dropped
very heavy things on my feet. Trust me when I say the steel ones
are worth it.
Two good places to check for women’s motorcycle boots are
Bootbay and Zappos. Bootbay has an awesome selection of Harley
Davidson boots as well as Double-H and Durango boots for women.
Zappos has a lot of Harley Davidson boots for women as well as
some Frye boots. Check out the Rocket Dog Nokout at Zappos too.
It looks to be a pretty solid boot and at around $100 is fairly
cheap for a boot that tall.
