home :: Ugg Essential short womens boot

While now somewhat rare, the Ugg Essential short womens boot can be found a few places.

The Ugg Essential short womens boot appears to be a discontinued style. The boot is no longer listed on the Ugg Australia web site, which is usually an indication that it’s no longer being made. You can find them here and there but they seem rare.

Zappos has the tall ones in sand color and Shoes.com has the short ones in baby blue at 40% off at the time of this writing. Normally they cost around $140 but at 40% they are going for about $84.

The other place to look for them is on Ebay. But finding your size might be difficult when you want them. The tall version, which sells for around $117, seems to go for less on Ebay while the shorter boot especially in the sand color is more in demand. These can range from prices of $120 up to $160 in Buy It Now auctions. The baby blue ones, which are cute with jeans, go for $80 because the color is not as popular. Many of these boots on Ebay are old stock being liquidated or brand new seconds. Also, be sure and double check you are getting the Essential and not the Classic. Some people that sell uggs on Ebay don’t know the difference. The lug outsole is the difference. If they don’t have the lug sole, they are probably ugg Classics instead.

The Essential ugg boot style is basically the same warm Classic boot with just a sturdier lug sole added. Some people feel they are a little less bulky in fit and look too. I think the lug sole is much better than the regular Classic sole, which I feel is more slippery on slick surfaces. Once the lug soles have had their rubber worn in, their traction is very good.
