There are a lot of excellent summer motorcycle boots in many different styles to choose from at a few specific online boot dealers.

Your first decision when searching for summer motorcycle boots online is to decide what kind of apparatus you want on your boot in order to cinch them up. Do you want laces, zippers, belts with buckles or will a slip-on boot fit your fancy? Or maybe you’d like a combination of items? That’s actually easier to find.

Since you want a boot for summer I believe you mean to get a shorter lighter boot. Harley Davidson offers the most variations then anyone else in the design of shorter motorcycle boots so they are a good place to look first. You can always get a pair of Timberlands, or some other hiking logger type footwear too if you wish. Look at brands like Carolina, LaCrosse, Wolverine, or Danner something plainer but still excellent performing boots. I myself want a little more style and flare in my biker boot.

For boots with laces check the womens Harley Davidson Tyler boots. It is described as a chukka boot with nice ankle padding and a 1 ½” heel. Also check out the Harley Havoc boots for both men and women. These 5” boots sport laces and a side zipper that’s more for looks than function.

A zip up boot that comes in mens and womens models is the 6” Brake Light. It’s a fairly busy boot in design. I prefer a simplistic model but many love this style. Another one to check is the men’s Short Side Zip. I like this boot a lot because it’s easy to get and out of due to the long zipper. Double-H actually makes a somewhat similar style for women.

Boots with zippers include the Side Street for men, the Bold Buckle for women, the Highway Strap for women and the trusted Faded Glory for both men and women. The Side Street is Harley’s short harness boot. Difference is it has a zipper rather than being a slip-on. The Bold Buckle uses a zipper and buckles that appear more for decoration. It has a higher heel as well and is extremely busy. The Highway Strap has a 1 ½” heel and is another 6” boot. The Faded Glory is styled with laces and a buckle. A lot people seem to like this boot making it quite popular.

For a slip on boot I’m going to say to look at the Harley Davidson ladies Laredo 7” boot, which is a harness type boot. And for men who want the classic harness boot but in a shorter summer version, look at the Durango 7” harness in black, oatmeal or brown. Oatmeal is a lighter color and currently more difficult to find but if you look hard enough you can locate some. I prefer black myself because it doesn’t show engine rub or pavement marks as well.

With any of these fine boots you’re sure to fine one that suits your needs. And you won’t go wrong because all are proven performers.

The best places to look for Harley Davidson boots is Bootbay and Zappos. They carry the largest selection for men and women and they offer free shipping. Can’t beat that.
