You may not be able to locate military engineer boots exactly but if you check this out, you will locate something very close to it.

The closest things in my mind to military engineer boots are tanker boots and jump boots. At least some manufacturers make some models that resemble a cross between a military and engineer boot. Many jump and tanker boots don’t have the instep belt but a couple manufacturers do design them with the belt.

Double H makes a 9 inch unlined jump boot with a 430 Vibram outsole. This made in America boot sports the belt like a motorcycle engineer boot and has a logger type heel. This boot also features a side zipper for help getting in and out. This style comes in mens and womens models.

Double H also makes a tanker boot with a wrap around strap instead of laces. It makes this boot very fast to get in and out of. In fact it’s faster than any lace-up boot. You can get this boot in black or a tan color. I prefer a boot with tread in case I end up walking on ice or in snow and this one has more than the previous boot. Most jump or paratrooper boots don’t have much tread. They have steel shank reinforced soles and slick soles. So know what kind of use you plan for the boot before you purchase one without much traction.

If neither of those is quite what you are looking for, try taking a look at some the boots Harley Davidson offers. They have a huge catalog of designs and some resemble engineer and military boots. Some that come to mind are the Faded Glory, Fargo, Brake Buckle, Side Light and Night Shift. Each of these borrows a little from combat boot styles as well as engineer boot styles.

I’d recommend trying BootBay first. They have lots of Harley and Double H boots. Free shipping is offered too and the prices online are good. Next I would try US Cavalry. They tend to have more police, combat, tactical and military type boots. This is where many people in public service shop for footwear. Actually it’s a great place for paintball boots too.
