home :: harness boots sales

Harness boots sales are hard to come by but you do have options.

Finding harness boots sales are nearly impossible. And if you do find some, they are probably on sale because the boots are bad looking or discontinued. Often the reason they are on sale in the first place is because they’re ugly and no one is buying them.

What I suggest you do is look for the harness boots you like and then find a website that has free shipping. Also, if you can hold out, buy the boots when most people aren’t buying boots. By buying them in the off-season you have more of a chance of getting a deal on them. Online boot stores will want to move inventory to make room for new models. If you are lucky you can find a boot you like at a discounted price and then with free shipping, you’ll end up with a pretty good deal.

Another thing you might try is switching your search to a motorcycle engineer boot style instead of the harness. I’ve seen more engineer buckle boots on sale or discounted than the belted harness boots. Recently I saw a really nice $220 Chippewa engineer boot discounted to $150. Add free shipping to that and that’s a great deal.

Some boot models look like a cross between an engineer and harness boot. So if you are dead set on the harness look, you might check those out for they get discounted too. The Harley Davidson 11” Flash harness boot has an uncharacteristically thick rubber outsole and a rounded toe instead of the squared off flat toe. It would be a good one to check out. As of this writing they were discounted from $126 to $109 for the steel toe model. Not a huge savings but with free shipping it’s still a decent deal.

Your best bets on boot brands that would have harness boot sales would be Frye, Double H, Durango and Dingo. The Dingo harness boots tend to look more like western boots. They are more fashion looking and that look will work for women. HD hardly ever goes on sale and when they do it’s because someone ordered too many and they are overstocked. Or the model is just down right ugly. Harley boots offer the most unusual styles for men and especially women. Most of their styles look as if the designers designed a bunch of weird stuff and threw it up on the wall to see what sticks. Most of it looks like it fell off the wall but they offered it to the public anyway. They are long on trend and flash but short on function in my opinion. I prefer the Chippewa or Double H harness boots for their simple and clean lines.

Two very good online boot merchants who sell harness boots and who often have sales on them are Shoebuy.com and Bootbay.com. Shoebuy carries Dingo, Harley Davidson and Double-H boots. Bootbay has Harley Davidson, Double-H, Chippewa, Red Wing, Durango and Dingo. Both offer free shipping and offer many engineer style boots as well if you think you might want a rounded toe instead of the squared-off toe. I think Bootbay may have cheaper prices overall by a few dollars.
