It’s important to know that online boot dealers don’t
always label Carolina Workflex safety boots as part of
the Workflex line. You need to know this if you want to find what
you are looking for.
There are actually three style variations of Carolina Workflex
safety boots and this can be where the confusion lies. Online
dealers will often call these boots by only their model names
and because the Carolina boot company website makes no mention
of these names, you can get frustrated trying to find the Workflex
line. You may not know what you are looking at. However, if you
are looking at the Flexor, Flexlite or Cascade models of Carolina
boots, you are in the right place.
The Carolina Flexor comes in a low and a mid size model. The
mid is a 6” shaft. The low looks like an oxford. As far
as traction goes, their soles tend to do best in oil and chemical
spills.
The Flexlite is my favorite of the three. It is a 6” shaft
and also does well on oil and chemical spills. I like it because
I prefer 6” boots and I like the eyehooks for getting into
and out of the boot quickly. This is a lightweight boot and has
a lot of cushion and memory foam. That’s key when you stand
a lot during the day like I do. Overall I really like the look
of it.
The last style is the Cascade and it comes in brown and black
while the other two models only come in brown. The Cascade is
the only one of the styles that is also waterproof. All the boots
can be gotten with or without an ANSI Class 75 Steel Toe.
Carolina work boots have such a highly regarded reputation you
can’t go wrong with them. I’ve found many reviews
touting their comfort and long life. I’m getting a pair
of the Flexlites as soon as my LaCrosse work boots wear out.
For recommended dealers who offer these boots go to Men's
steel-toed work boots and read the dealer reviews.
