If you are shopping for Sorel snow boots for kids you'll
want to check out these 3 alternative children’s snow boot
brands because many children like them better.
Kamik, Columbia and Tundra make alternative brands that compare
to Sorel snow boots for kids and in some cases are more popular
among kids. Sorel makes fantastic boots but sometimes kids pick
up on something different. All their friends might be wearing
the newest trend. Or maybe as a parent you aren’t willing
to plunk down as much money for a boot your child is going to
grow out of in a season. Therefore I think it’s always wise
to check out all your options to be sure you make the right purchase.
Kamik snow boots for children are getting high marks from parents
and kids across the country. Prices range between $40 and $76.
Several models with Infant sizes are available too. They even
offer the Moonbeam model, which has a furry look to it. That’s
lots of fun for little girls. The Kamik Snuggy and Huggy are both
excellent toddler winter boots and come in children’s sizes
as well. They are easy to put on and very warm according to people
living in MN. The Kamik Nutzy and the Bounce are great and very
popular models for boys. They looks like snowboard boots. This
is the way kids want their boots to look nowadays. It’s
the “in” thing. The great thing about getting boots
your child likes is they will embrace the idea of putting the
boots on themselves. Could mean less work and stress for you because
you don’t have to fuss with trying to stuff their feet in
a boot they don’t want to put on.
Columbia snow boots for kids have some differently designed models
as well. Columbia is actually the parent company of Sorel now
and has a few boots that look like Sorels but several that look
completely different. Again the snowboard boot look is big right
now. The Columbia Halfpiper and the Superpiper boot for kids are
good examples of newer designs in waterproof snow boots for children.
The North Polar Too JR is a more traditional looking snow boot
style offered by Columbia. This boot has a suede upper that is
not waterproof but instead is water resistant. Still a very fine
boot but again it’s not waterproof. These are all available
in Youth and Children boot sizes. However, I did not see any Infant
winter boot sizes available. Prices range mostly in the $60 range
with highest price being around $85 for suede models.
Tundra snow boots for children tend to be the least expensive
running from around $30 to $46 in price. All models come in children
and youth sizes. They make infant winter boot sizes in some models
too. The Tundra Montana is an example of one of their more expensive
boots. It looks a lot like a regular Sorel winter boot in design.
The Arctic Drift 2 is another Tundra boot, which owes its look
to Sorel.
Any one of these 3 brands should meet you and your child’s
needs. In my view the best place to find these brands is Zappos.
I found they had the biggest selection, free shipping, great customer
service and offer several models on sale. You can also read buyer’s
reviews. Zappos
isn’t always the best place for certain styles of boots
but in this case they are by far the best.
Alert! New recent development...Shoebuy.com
has a new batch of kids winter boots to choose from. None of the above mentioned brands but they do have Timberlands, Superga, John Deere and Patagonia among others. And overall better prices at Shoebuy.com
than you'll find at Zappos.
