Finding a good pair of women’s hiking boots is easy and fast online.

Depending on whether you want a women’s hiking boot for looks or real hiking, you can find many styles to choose from online. Boot manufacturers like Sorel, Columbia, Timberland, Ariat, Hi Tec and Dr. Martens all make great women’s hiking boots.

If you are looking for a womens hiking boot that looks great and is more of a fashion item, take a look at Timberland boots for women. They have quite a few styles that are colorful and fashionable but may not offer the support you need for serious hiking. Sorel and Columbia boots offer more models of a snow or winter boot than a true hiking boot. However, in cold conditions they are hard to beat. We do not recommend Sketchers or Dr. Martens’ 1460 classic series for hiking in. Our experience has been that they do not offer the support or comfort that a boot by Ariat or higher end Dr. Martens’ hiking boot can offer.

Other womens hiking boots to consider might be Hi Tec, Ecco or Merrell boots. Hi Tec boots are good but we recommend the more upper-end all leather boots and not the boots with the nylon-fabric exteriors. These cheap boots don’t seem to fit as well and can be a bit rough on your feet. They don’t seem to wear in very well either. We personally have a pair of nylon exterior boots and are considering giving them to the Salvation Army after wearing them on and off for the last year. However, the leather exterior Hi Tec boots are great and last a long time. We had a pair for over 6 years that just recently were retired. The Ecco boot look solid but depending on your needs look to get a pair with a solid traction sole. Merrell boots make very solid more technically advanced hiking boots you won’t go wrong with.
