You can no longer get Ugg black Mosaic boots but wait till you see their replacement model.

Ugg black Mosaic boots are a discontinued style. They can’t be found on Ugg Australia web site any longer. This was a boot with a 12” tall shaft and 15” circumference. It had an EVA rubber molded sole pad like all ugg boots by UGG Australia. There are still a few on Zappos in an orchid color for girls but black ones are non-existent. However, if you liked the Mosaic you’ll probably like the Ugg Sunset.

The Sunset ugg boots are more tailored than the Ultimate, Ultra, Brooks or Classic boots. The Sunset is more fitted than the Mosaic was. This is an excellent ugg boot for wearing with jeans because jeans will fit over them better. It has the same warmth features as the other boots and actually features a side zipper for easier entry and exit. They also have a 14” circumference as compared to the Mosaic’s 15” so if you have a wider calf that might be a problem. However, the side zipper might help you out. The Sunset also shares the same style outsole as the Mosaic. This tread is not as good as the Ultra or Ultimate models are for walking on ice and snow but still great for everything else.

If you have a high instep or wider foot you may need to size up one. That’s a standard thing to do when fitting boots. I had to do it with a pair of engineer boots I got a while back because I have a high instep. Sizing up allowed my foot to spread thereby making the instep no problem. However, if you have a normal sized foot you may actually need to size down. Many women report sizing down from their normal size 8 to a size 7 for a more comfortable fit in the Sunset. If you are in doubt, email or call the online boot dealer for sizing help. They can be very helpful.

If you do have a much wider foot, you may want to check out the Ultra, Brooks or Ultimate uggs. These offer the best tread, thicker sheepskin, an arch support and wider boot. They are not as sleek as the Sunsets are but the Ultra and Brooks are great for a wider foot.

Even the Mosaic has been discontinued, the Sunset is in many ways a more functional boot that can meet more of your fashion and comfort needs.
