The biggest problem with a men’s dress boot or a women’s dress boot for that matter is comfort. These stylish boots often stress fashion over function and the suckers end up killing your feet after a short while. You have to make sure you pick a dress boot that fits the way your feet are designed. In other words, if you have a broad foot, get a square flat toe as opposed to a pointed toe. Got a tall arch? Get a boot that’s wider or a size up or the top of your foot will rub on the boot vamp.

I bought a pair of Australian Blundstone boots a while back to wear for dress occasions. I like the look of everything Australian Blundstone makes. (It must be an Australian thing. I like ugg brand boots too.) A friend of mine swore to me that his Blundstone 500s were the most comfortable shoes he’s ever owned. So I got some and they have never been comfortable for me.
